Lady Washington & Hawaiian Chieftain:
Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon
June 1-4, 2017
Join us on the shores of Coos Bay and North Bend for Festival of Sail® Coos Bay / North Bend 2017. It’s a rare chance to catch a glimpse, step aboard, and even set sail on some of the grandest ships of yore. Coos Bay and North Bend will be one of only a handful of Pacific ports that will host the historic ships. Festival of Sail® Coos Bay / North Bend 2017 promises to be the largest event in the region’s history featuring ship tours, day sails, educational programming, food and beverage, entertainment and fun for the entire family!
Walk-on tours are a chance to visit the ships and speak to the crews, similar to an open house. No tickets or reservations are required. A $5 donation per person is appreciated. Walk-on tours are generally scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The ships may not be available for tours on certain days on short notice.
Our popular three-hour Battle Sails feature booming cannons, close-quarters maneuvers, and a taste of 18th century maritime life aboard tall ships. A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Adventure Sails feature opportunities for guests to help raise a sail, learn a sea shanty, or take the helm of a real tall ship, conditions permitting. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Our two-hour Evening Sail features a living history experience with demonstrations of tall ship handling, sea shanty singing, and maritime storytelling. A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
