Lady Washington the official tall ship of Washington State and her companion vessel the Hawaiian Chieftain will visit Newport, Oregon on May 17-29, 2017 and offer family-oriented Adventure, Evening and Battle Sails featuring a living history experience with demonstrations of tall ship handling, sea shanty singing, and maritime storytelling. A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Walk-On Tours

Walk-on tours are a chance to visit the ships and speak to the crews, similar to an open house. No tickets or reservations are required. A $5 donation per person is appreciated. Walk-on tours are generally scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The ships may not be available for tours on certain days on short notice.

Battle Sail

Our popular three-hour Battle Sails feature booming cannons, close-quarters maneuvers, and a taste of 18th century maritime life aboard tall ships. A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Adventure Sail

Adventure Sails feature opportunities for guests to help raise a sail, learn a sea shanty, or take the helm of a real tall ship, conditions permitting. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Evening Sail

Our two-hour Evening Sail features a living history experience with demonstrations of tall ship handling, sea shanty singing, and maritime storytelling. A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
