Small Craft
The longboats Capt. Matt Peasley and Hewitt R. Jackson, launched in 1993, are used primarily for youth programs on Grays Harbor. Our programs include the Longboat Club (a free after-school program), weekend exploring expeditions in the Grays Harbor Estuary, and Project SAIL (Shaping Attitudes through Integrated Learning). GHHSA also partners with organizations outside of Grays Harbor on programs such as the Spokane Parks Department's “Sea, Sail, Science” program and the University of Washington's “Bridge Program” for minority students.
