Living history cruises
Fundraising events

We’ll coordinate with your event planner, wedding planner, caterer, or musicians to make your charter a memorable experience. Our charter services range from providing a dockside venue for your event to a full-scale mock sea battle, complete with cannon fire (blanks, of course). We also have suggestions for world-class sea-shanty and folk musicians to give your event a historical flair.

Because our boats are constantly traveling, we recommend planning your event as far in advance as possible. To see our upcoming ports of call, visit our public sail schedule. If you would like to use the galley or on-board refrigeration, please let us know in advance. Facilities are limited.

Lady Washington accommodates up to 45 passengers under sail, eight for an overnight passage. Hawaiian Chieftain accommodates up to 43 passengers under sail, six for overnight passages. The vessel passenger capacity includes children and babes-in-arms. More guests can be accommodated when the ships are dockside.

CHARTERS FOR FILM AND TELEVISION

Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain are unique, fully functional, and visually appealing properties available for film and video projects as historical sets, platforms for training videos, advertising campaigns, documentary productions, short films, and productions that launch new products. Availability is dependent on ship location and schedules.

As well as our vessels, we can provide historically accurate small boats and use of a small, inflatable power boat. We have a number of props available, including long rifles, pistols, and other equipment. And we can fire our cannons, if requested. Fees may apply to each item.

Lady Washington and sets constructed by the Historical Seaport have appeared in numerous motion picture and television productions.

Before shooting, the Historical Seaport will request script pages or a shot list which include our vessels. As an educational non-profit, GHHSA reserves the right to decline participation in projects we determine are objectionable.

For more detailed information, fill out our online charter intake form below or call us at 800-200-5239.
