Voyages of Discovery: Experiences for K-12 and Home School Groups Print
Do you work in a Title I school? Is your child in a school where more than 40 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch? Learn about our scholarship program for economically disadvantaged schools!

Voyages of Discovery is so much more than a boat ride. You and your students are in for a unique experience that will stimulate interest and motivate understanding of history, geography, math, science and communication skills. The Voyages of Discovery program is a three-part journey through the world of late 18th century merchant sailors.

Voyages of Discovery tall ship education programDonors: Sponsor a K-12 education program in your community!

Over the course of the program your students will explore a wide variety of core subject areas as they move back in time to the 1790's and see just how young people much like themselves sailed the world's oceans in search of fame and fortune. The Voyages of Discovery program culminates in your visit to the brig Lady Washington and/or the topsail ketch Hawaiian Chieftain.

Your time on board the vessels is surely the highlight, but we recommend taking advantage of the pre-visit activities we've designed for you. We want your experience with us to be a meaningful part of your academic year.
