Sacramento residents have probably gotten used to the sight of the tall ship Hawaiian Chieftain by now, since she spends nearly two full months in town each year. But, most locals have never had a chance to actually set sail aboard the tall ship and feel the wind in their hair. Unless you’ve visited as part of an educational field trip or a private charter, your only interactions with Hawaiian Chieftain have come during dockside tours.
Well, NOW is your chance to finally experience the golden age of sailing firsthand. On Sat. Nov. 4 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Grays Harbor Historical Seaport is inviting anyone to come sailing with us for ONE DAY ONLY with the purchase of a Membership!
Hawaiian Chieftain will host this rare sail in
Sacramento exclusively for our Members. Any current Members, and those who purchase a Membership between now and Nov. 4th, can join us for this rare sailing opportunity at no extra cost. Our Membership Program
is a way to support Historical Seaport and its programs year round, by funding educational field trips, sail training, critical maintenance needs, and more. Members take pride in being part of our team, and receive exclusive gifts and invitations to special events throughout the year. In addition to getting to go sailing in Sacramento, your new membership purchase can earn you ticket vouchers, store discounts, Historical Seaport merchandise, museum passes and more!
Don’t just observe the boat, be a part of maritime history in action! Your support of our mission through Membership will allow you aboard for the ONLY CHANCE to sail in Sacramento this year! Members of any level are entitled to this free trip aboard Sacramento’s favorite tall ship!
