Spar Shop

Our Spar Shop, the largest on the west coast, custom builds masts, yards booms and gaffs for sailing ships, as well as flag poles and custom-turned poles for other applications. We have the capacity to turn spars up to 40 inches in diameter and 122 feet length. Both of these dimensions are expandable. We also custom turn belaying pins, deadeyes and wooden thimbles. We fabricate cross trees, trestle trees, bibs, doubling blocks, saddles, hearts and fairleads. We also provide rigging services.

Our location in Aberdeen, Wash. puts us near some of the best timber in the world, ideal for spars and other custom wood products. Pricing is dependent on wood quality, origin of the source wood, and market demand. Our products are known throughout North America; the producers of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies asked us to build several key sets.
